Our Story

Hi! We’re Jane and Megan, two working mothers with a shared love for growing fresh fruit and vegetables, preserving nature's bounty, and creating meals from scratch. While we don’t claim to be experts, we genuinely enjoy sharing our harvest and the knowledge we’ve picked up along the way with like-minded enthusiasts. Over time, as friends and neighbors turned to us for advice, we realised the joy of connecting through our experiences—both the triumphs and the inevitable mishaps! That’s what inspired us to team up and create this blog. Our goal is to build a warm and supportive community where we can all learn from one another and celebrate the ups and downs of this beautiful garden-to-spoon journey together. Let’s grow, share, and cook as a team!

Home Grown Vegetables

Mission

At Garden to Spoon, our mission is to foster a shared passion for growing, preserving, and cooking by:

  • Building a supportive community where gardeners, preservers, and cooks of all levels can exchange ideas and encouragement.

  • Providing practical tips, insightful resources, and inspiring stories to guide everyone on their garden-to-spoon adventures.

  • Promoting sustainable practices that nurture both the earth and our plates, one delicious homemade meal at a time.

Vision

To cultivate a thriving community where individuals can connect, inspire, and support one another in the journey from garden to spoon—embracing a sustainable lifestyle rooted in homegrown produce, mindful preservation, and creative cooking.
